Police release new details about man shot and killed outside Tulsa QuikTrip

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police released new details about what led up to a deadly shooting outside of a west Tulsa QuikTrip Sunday morning.

Tulsa police responded to the shooting at the QuikTrip near U.S. Highway 412 and North Gilcrease Museum Road just before 4:30 a.m.

Police said when they arrived they found a man shot in the parking lot with no signs of life. Police identified the man as 25-year-old Desmond Cousino.

Police said the person who shot Cousino called 911 and turned himself in.

According to police, video of the shooting showed Cousino attempted to carjack the person, who later shot him, at gunpoint. The two fought over the weapon and the person who shot Cousino took his gun, and shot him.

Police said the person who shot Cousino was interviewed and released. The case will be presented to the Tulsa County District Attorney for determination.
