Police arrested a man Thursday in connection to a shootout in Bartlesville that sent another man to the hospital.

Bristow police arrested 24-year-old Caleb McCabe in Bristow Thursday afternoon after they say he ran from the scene of the shooting near Baylor and Madison in Bartlesville that morning.

Police told FOX23 around 5 a.m. a car and SUV pulled up to a home near Madison Middle School. Bartlesville Public Schools posted about the situation on Facebook:

"Madison Middle School and Hoover Elementary School will be in session on Thursday. An early morning incident near Madison unrelated to the school is disrupting the use of its loop drives, but the police report there is NO THREAT to either school and are on the scene at Madison to help parent drop-offs and buses use the far west entry off Baylor and reassure everyone students and staff will be safe.
Normal traffic pattern for Hoover this morning, but please be prepared for possible delays on Baylor Drive.

Police say a shootout ensued and a man was shot multiple times and sent to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

Officers say 30 shots were fired from three different guns -- including an AK-47 that they are still looking for.

Bartlesville police questioned four people in the home and three are now facing charges:

  • One woman is facing charges for obstruction.
  • One man is in custody for an outstanding warrant in Tulsa.
  • The homeowner is facing charges for a large amount of marijuana found in the home.

Officers carried shotguns, rifles, and other large guns out of the home while serving the warrant.

A tip called into police led police to Bristow where they arrested Caleb McCabe. He is facing charges for shooting with intent to kill.
