• Woman dead, one man arrested after shooting and attempted car burglary on north Tulsa highway

    Police investigated a deadly shooting on Highway 75 near Peoria Tulsa Wednesday night.

    Officials say a man came to pick up his daughter who's car had a flat tire. He took his daughter to work and when he returned, Walker and Thornbrough had broken into the car.

    When the man confronted the suspects, He and Thornbrough struggled over a gun, police said. The gun fired and fatally struck Angela Walker, identified by police as a getaway driver, in the chest.

    Thornbrough ran, but police were able to arrest him in connection to the attempted burglary and deadly shooting. The car owner has been questioned by police and is cooperating with the investigation.

    Police arrested Matthew Thornbrough on a second degree felony murder complaint Thursday.
