• Police arrest man for drugs after SUV crashes into utility pole

    • Tulsa police arrested a man late Friday night after receiving calls that an SUV crashed into a utility pole. 
    • The crash happened at 15th and Sheridan just after 10pm Friday.
    • Tulsa police say that officers located a man wearing all black and carrying a backpack, but it was unclear whether he was the passenger or driver. That man was Bryan Richardson. 
    • Police arrested Richardson after they smelled a strong scent of marijuana and searched his backpack.
    • TPD discovered a large freezer bag of marijuana, two baggies of methamphetamine, two baggies of a mushroom substance, an unmarked bottle of pills and more than $900 in cash.
    • Police also found a gun near the SUV.
    • Another occupant on the vehicle was not located. 
    • Crews closed the road just south of 15th and Sheridan and continued working to repair the pole early Saturday morning.
