Passengers, horses unharmed after truck catches fire on BA Expressway

TULSA, Okla. — Quick facts:

Eastbound lanes on the Broken Arrow Expressway closed Saturday after a truck caught on fire near the 129th East Avenue exit around 11:40 Saturday morning.

The truck's driver said he and his passengers were on their way to a calf-roping competition in Taft when they noticed smoke coming from the engine of the truck, so they pulled over.

The truck then caught fire.

The driver and passengers were able to get out of the car and make sure their horses were OK. No one was hurt.
