CHEROKEE COUNTY, Okla. — The Oklahoma Scenic Rivers Commission requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations investigate a sexual assault.
On Monday officials released the name of the suspect: Nathan Dale Webb.
Webb is being held in the Cherokee County Jail, GRDA officials told FOX23 he is a sex offender out on parole. He had warrants out of Arkansas for parole violations.
OSBI officials said they were called to investigate a sexual assault at Diamond Head Resort near Tahlequah Saturday night.
They said a 34-year-old Little Rock woman was attacked in her tent on the campground. She was flown to a Fayetteville hospital in critical condition. Officials said she was released Sunday.
Charges have not been filed yet.
