OU Health updates policy to require everyone wear medical-grade masks in facilities

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — OU Health has changed its masking policy to require all patients, visitors and staff to wear medical-grade masks in all their facilities.

They said cloth masks are no longer acceptable to protect staff and patients.

“In order to protect patients and staff, OU Health masking policies have been updated to require all patients, visitors and staff in OU Health facilities to wear medical-grade masks,” OU Health officials posted to social media. “Cloth masks are no longer acceptable per OU Health policy. This is a reflection of the most current guidance from the CDC and other expert medical resources.”
