First Lady Jill Biden to visit the Cherokee Immersion School in Oklahoma

TULSA, Okla. — On Friday, Dec. 3, First Lady Jill Biden will travel to Tahlequah, Okla. to visit the Cherokee Immersion School in the Cherokee Nation.

The First Lady and U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland will visit the Cherokee Immersion School in Tahlequah, Okla. to highlight the importance of native language preservation.

The First Lady is also planning to visit Philadelphia, Pa. ahead of her trip to Oklahoma.

In Philadelphia, the First Lady will continue a nationwide effort to encourage parents to vaccinate their children between five-years-old and 11-years-old. She will also encourage families to get their booster shots and visit a COVID-19 pediatric vaccination clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
