Claremore Public Schools Board of Education approves mask requirement policy

CLAREMORE, Okla. — The Claremore Public Schools Board of Education voted to approve a mask requirement policy at a Thursday evening meeting.

In a letter sent to parents, the school says the temporary mask requirement policy provides the option for exemption to all families.

They say the policy that is based on recommendation from the CDC and OSDH, will go into effect on Sept. 22 and apply to all students, employees and visitors. The policy applies to school buses, indoor events during regular school hours on district property and parent/teacher conferences.

The school says the three options for people to exempt from the policy are religious beliefs, medical reasons and personal beliefs.
