City of Tulsa’s Native American Day Celebrations remain virtual for 2021

TULSA, Okla. — The City of Tulsa’s fifth annual Native American Day Celebration will be virtual again this year.

The event is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 11. The theme is “Rise to Resilience.”

It begins at 9 a.m. and can be watched on the Tulsa Native American Day Facebook page.

Tribal leaders from across the state will join Tulsa mayor G.T. Bynum, where everyone will share their thoughts and what tribes have done to help Oklahomans during the pandemic.

“Tulsa is located within the boundaries of the Cherokee, Creek and Osage Nations,” Mayor G.T. Bynum said. “I am proud that we are recognizing our heritage and the tribes that make Tulsa the unique cultural destination it is today.”
