• Oilton officer arrested for child porn

    A man working for the City of Oilton as a police officer spent the night behind bars for child porn charges.

    Officers arrested Archie Cole, Jr. on suspicion of possessing child porn and violation of computer crimes. The Attorney General's office filed the charges Thursday morning. 

    Cole, an Oilton police officer, allegedly got caught after a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. 

    The tip came from an email address associated with cole dating Feb. 12, 2016. Some files pulled from his Google account included video of an adult male interacting sexually with a child under 5 and other videos. 

    Authorities served a search warrant on April 4th. The Attorney General's Office went to his home, but Cole was not there. He reported to the assistant chief of police, who let investigators talk to him.

    Cole allegedly admitted to searching for the videos. 

    Photos found on his computer included girls between the ages of 7 and 15 engaged in sexual behaviors, including acts with adult men. 

    Cole allegedly deleted all of the child porn off his phone before handing it over to investigators.
