TULSA, Okla. - Police say a north Tulsa business owner managed to protect his business from a suspected burglar early Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to Accurate Service Co. near Admiral and Sheridan after a shots-fired call around 1:30 a.m. The business owner told police he does not know where the gunshots came from.

Tulsa police say the owner was sleeping in the business overnight when a man pulled off the electric meter at the business. The owner told police that is why he was staying at the business confront the man and they got into a fight.

The owner told FOX23's Preston Jones that he has had four attempted break-ins at his business since the beginning of the year -- including two in the past week.

Several gunshots went off and the suspected burglar ran from the scene. Police do not know where the bullets came from but no injuries were reported.

Officers are still on the lookout for the suspected burglar.
