No parade at 2019 Brookside BooHaha

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa's Brookside Neighborhood Association announced the details of this year's BooHaHa Halloween event this week, and for the first time, there will be no parade.

Organizers cited the cost associated with the parade, as well as the impact on neighbors and business, for the decision.

BooHaHa will take place Oct. 26 along Peoria between 31st and 51st streets. There will be new entertainment zones stationed throughout to showcase area businesses. Families will also be able to stop at kid zones along the route to collect candy.

Last year, BooHaHa made the major change of removing trick-or-treating at businesses in favor of the kid zones.

The event will also feature face painting, costume contests and more activities for families.
