• Nationally recognized Green Country artist hosts first art show after suffering stroke

    TULSA, Okla. - QUICK FACTS:

    • Keith Birdsong, a Muskogee native now living in Tulsa, is one of the United States' most acclaimed artists. His drawings and paintings can be found on the covers and inside hundreds of books.
    • More than a dozen of his drawings for stamps are in the Smithsonian National Postal Museum.
    • Last August, Birdsong suffered a major stroke. Doctors said he would likely never walk, talk or paint again, but he is now proving them wrong.
    • Birdsong will celebrate his first art show since his stroke, Saturday March 16th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Tulsa.
