TULSA, Okla. — A family is figuring out its next steps after losing everything it owned in an early morning house fire
The home on Crabtree Road in east Muskogee caught fire around 4 a.m. Firefighters are still investigating the cause.
All seven people living there made it out safely, but lost their six pets -- cats and dogs -- in the fire.
The home is now condemned, and the family lost all of its belongings. The parents have a 2-year-old son and a baby due in January.
The family is now dispersed, with members staying with different friends and family members as they figure out their next steps. The family is getting help from the Red Cross but can’t do much until businesses open tomorrow after the holiday.
The family members said they are devastated but grateful to have each other and a wide network of support.
