Memorial service to be held for Muskogee tow truck driver

MUSKOGEE, Okla. — A funeral service, as well as a couple other events, will be held to memorialize the Muskogee tow truck driver, John Mills, who was struck by a vehicle and killed in November.

The memorial service will be held at Timothy Baptist Church on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Following the service, at 4 p.m., attendees of the service are encouraged to drive to Red Beards Towing where, on the way, they will demonstrate a “Slow Down Move Over” demo. This is something that protects service workers, such as, paramedics, first responders, city police and fire, and tow truck operators.

To end of the evening, a benefit dinner at the Hatbox Events Center will be held at 5 p.m.

Red Beards Towing and family of Mills are asking for tow truck operator volunteers to help showcase the demo.

If you cannot be present for the service, the Mills family also has a GoFundMe where anyone can donate.
