Man stabbed during argument in midtown Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — UPDATE: Tulsa police identified the man arrested as Sage Singleton.

A man is recovering after he was stabbed in midtown Tulsa Tuesday night.

Tulsa police said the man was stabbed near East 51st Street and South Peoria Avenue just before 11 p.m.

Police said a retired firefighter witnessed two men arguing over a bike, and saw one man punch the other man and then ride off on the bike.

The man who was punched collapsed in the street, and the witness realized he had been stabbed and called police. Police said the man was stabbed below his heart, but his injuries are non-life threatening.

The suspect was arrested about a block away a short time later, and the bike was recovered.
