• Man lands in backyard after going airborne, ending Broken Arrow chase

    BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Quick facts:

    • A man accused of leading Broken Arrow police on a chase is in custody.
    • Police say they saw David Palmer try to steal a license plate near Washington and Elm Friday night.
    • An officer reportedly noticed him driving a Camaro without a license plate, and Palmer led them on a chase all the way to Tulsa.
    • It stopped when police say Palmer was weaving in an out of traffic down New Orleans.
    • They say he overcorrected, hit a ditch, went airborne, rolled twice over a wall and landed in someone's backyard, narrowly avoiding power lines.
    • He faces a number of charges.
