Man arrested for string of car burglaries in Tulsa area

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa burglary detectives say over the course of several months they have been investigating a string of car burglaries in the Tulsa area.

Detectives identified Keith Overstreet and arrested him Oct. 20. He was charged Oct. 12 with one count of 3rd degree burglary and two counts for unauthorized use of a credit card.

After his arrest, detectives recovered stolen items, including designer handbags, jewelry, electronics and weapons. Detectives are still identifying victims but believe Overstreet could be connected to several dozen car break-ins.

FOX23 has done previous stories on Overstreet. He pleaded guilty to second degree auto burglary in 2017. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary of an automobile and one count for concealing stolen property in 2009.

Overstreet did have an arraignment Monday morning but at last check has not bonded out of jail.
