• Man arrested in connection to death of missing Broken Arrow woman

    TULSA, Okla. - QUICK FACTS:

    • Broken Arrow police arrested 22-year-old Konner Brunner in connection to the death of 21-year-old Lauren Kidd, who police reported missing on Oct. 30.
    • Initial reports said Kidd never showed up to a Halloween party on Oct. 27.
    • After questioning, detectives determined Brunner's initial statement about where Kidd was and what happened before she went missing was not true.
    • Investigators learned Kidd had been shot inside of Brunner's car in the parking lot of a Broken Arrow apartment complex, and the body was put in recycling bin. Police recovered the bin but did not find the body. A weapon and other evidence were taken from Brunner's home. 
    • Brunner admitted he killed Kidd and was arrested on complaints of first-degree murder and desecration of a human corpse. 

    Broken Arrow police arrested 22-year-old Konner Brunner in connection to the death of 21-year-old Lauren Kidd, who police reported missing on Oct. 30.

    Kidd was last seen with Brunner on Oct. 27. Initial reports said Kidd was going to a Halloween celebration in Broken Arrow with family on the day of her disappearance, but she never showed up.

    On Nov. 2, detectives brought Brunner in for questioning after getting information about the case. Detectives later determined Brunner's initial statement about where Kidd was and what happened before she went missing was not true.

    After the interview, investigators determined Kidd was shot inside Brunner's vehicle in the parking lot of a Broken Arrow apartment complex. 

    Detectives said Brunner admitted to killing Kidd and disposing the body in a recycle bin. BAPD investigators located the bin but did not find the body.

    On Nov. 11, FOX23 learned that McCurtain County deputies are assisting with a search and International Paper released a statement that read:  "We are cooperating with authorities in Oklahoma regarding an active police investigation and will provide additional details when able."

    The company has a facility in McCurtain County.

     

    A weapon and other evidence were taken from Brunner's home, officials said.

    Brunner was arrested on complaints of first-degree murder and desecration of a human corpse. 

    Broken Arrow police said they are continuing to investigate this case.
