You may have seen something out of the ordinary in the sky this weekend.
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket took off from Cape Canaveral on Saturday, launching 52 Starlink satellites into orbit. This is the fourth launch of the Falcon 9.
Even though they launched from Florida, the chain of satellites could be seen across the U.S.
People as far north as New England posted pictures and videos of the launch on social media. A viewer from Broken Arrow sent a picture of the stream of satellites to FOX23.
According to Find Starlink, a Starlink tracking website, you could have a chance to see the satellites again.
Average visibility is forecasted for the satellites in Tulsa on the following days:
- Monday at 8:14 p.m. for 5 minutes, traveling northwest to southeast
- Wednesday at 8:18 p.m. for 5 minutes, traveling northwest to northeast
- Thursday at 8:44 p.m. for 5 minutes, traveling northwest to west
