Woman dies after fire destroys house in Sapulpa

Firefighters search for a woman after fire destroys a Sapulpa home Firefighters worked on Sunday morning to extinguish the flames of a house fire in Sapulpa. One man made it out of the house. Crews searched for a woman inside they say was in a wheelchair.

Sapulpa Firefighters searched for many hours after a woman in a wheelchair didn’t make it out of a house fire.

Firefighters said two people were inside a home that caught fire around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Neighbors rescued the man, but they were unable to make it to the woman.

That woman inside died along with some dogs.

Crews said the house was in a rural area and the distance made the fire challenging.

When they arrived, the entire home was burning.
