MUSKOGEE, Okla. — An employee at the Pleasant Valley Health Center in Muskogee captured an incredible photo of love.
Jewell Lashley, 97, lives at the senior living center and hasn’t seen her family in two weeks. That changed on Wednesday.
Health care workers wheeled her over to a window and surprised her with a visit from her family. They all waved and said hello to Lashley from the safety of the other side of the window.
Social distancing has been hard on many people, especially those in at-risk groups including senior citizens and those who are immunocompromised.
They also left behind some gifts. Flowers and a sign that reads: “We care about you.”
Everyone left with tears in their eyes.
