WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican Senator Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma recently brushed off coronavirus concerns while speaking to reporters at the U.S. Capitol, according to the New York Times.
A reporter is said to have asked Inhofe, 85, if he had taken precautions against the virus. He said no and asked to shake hands.

This differs from a message posted to Inhofe’s Twitter account in which he encourages Oklahomans to be prepared, but “don’t panic.”

One case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Tulsa County while a second one is presumptive until results return from the Centers for Disease Control.
