TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma voters will make some of their final decisions before the November general election on Aug. 25.

In Tulsa, several offices are on the line including Mayor of Tulsa and several city council positions.

Here are the deadlines to know for the runoff primary and special election on Aug. 25, 2020 in Oklahoma:

DEADLINE TO REGISTER TO VOTE: July 31

The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the Aug. 25 election is Aug. 18 at 5 p.m.

There are special procedures in place for the Aug. 25 election to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Instead of having a signature notarized (if the voter’s affidavit envelope has a yellow stripe) or witnessed by two people (if the voter’s affidavit envelope has a pink stripe), voters now have the option of attaching a copy of an identification document to an affidavit envelope instead.

The Oklahoma State Election Board has an Online Voter Portal where voters can:

  • Request Absentee Ballots
  • Verify Voter Registration Information
  • View Voting Districts
  • Find Polling Place Information
  • View a Sample Ballot
  • Check the Status of Absentee Ballots
  • Respond to an Address Confirmation Notice

Here is the schedule for early voting for the Aug. 25 election:

  • Thursday, Aug. 20, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 21, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 22, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
