Union asking community to help decide on new mascot

TULSA, Okla. — Union Public Schools Chief Communications Officer, Chris Payne, says they are asking students, parents, alumni and teachers what qualities they think the new mascot needs to represent.

They are using an online tool called, Thought Exchange. It’s a program that asks open ended questions to participants and shares it with others. Participants can also rate other responses from 1-5--(1 being bad and 5 being good) to show where there’s agreement and disagreement.

The online tool will be available until the end of the day Friday.

Payne says it will at least take a few more month before UPS will decide on a new mascot.
