TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Pop Kids announced Wednesday they’re putting together their first event in their new Persimmon Hollow home.

Because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, they’ll be holding “The Drive Thru Experience” to practice continued social distancing.

“We are pulling out all the stops with our props, Superheroes, Princesses, Star Wars, Jurassic World, Avengers, Fairyland, Batmobile, Legomen, Hulkbuster, Toothless and more,” organizers say.

Cars will drive in and be “taken on a journey” with cosplayers.

Each child will receive a comic for the event as a part of Tulsa Pop Kids’ mission to promote literacy and education through pop culture.

The event is happening Saturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It’s free to enter and donations will be accepted -- all of which go to Tulsa Pop Kids.
