Tulsa Police: One person shot near 61st and Yale

The shooting caused the victim to crash his car.

Tulsa Police say one person was shot in south Tulsa.

The call went out around 8:30p.m. Sunday near 61st and Yale.

Tulsa Police say it started with an argument between people in two different cars near the Kings Pointe Village Shopping Center.

Police say someone in a blue Kia fired shots at the other car, a white Ford Fusion.

The driver of the Fusion was hit with a bullet in the stomach, according to officers.

The driver then crashed.

Capt. Richard Meulenberg says “because it was so close to St. Francis, officers put the victim in a squad car after applying first aid and took him right to the hospital.”

FOX23 is working to learn his condition.

Two other people in the Fusion had minor injuries.

Police say they are still looking for the Kia which sped off.
