Tulsa police investigate drive-by, man shot in bed

TULSA, Okla. — UPDATE, 10/19/21, 11:40 a.m.: Police say the victim’s brother called 911 after the shooting. A large part of the victim’s skull was missing but he is expected to survive. Despite his injuries, the victim was able to talk with police.

A Tulsa man is in the hospital after he was shot while sleeping in bed.

Police responded to a drive-by shooting near the intersection of S 107th E Avenue and E 11th Place. Two shots were fired at the home around 12:30 a.m. The victim was hit in the head and his hand.

A black sedan was seen leaving the area but not other information was released.

The man is in serious condition this morning.
