TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa is one of the six best cities in the United States for small businesses, according to a USA Today report.
The article highlights the Tulsa Remote program as a big reason for opportunity in the city. The program offers qualified applicants $10,000 to move to Tulsa and work a remote job. Tulsa also has relatively low cost of living compared to bigger cities.
Program offering people $10,000 to move to Tulsa is doubling in 2020
Tulsa’s Regional Chamber of Commerce said this type of recognition is encouraging. It will likely inspire entrepreneurs to choose the city as their new home.
Chamber officials said they do their best to support small businesses through programming, mentoring and planning. They work to not only help new businesses, but to help existing businesses thrive and grow.
The other five cities on the list are Raleigh, North Carolina; Austin/Round Rock, Texas; Miami/Coral Gables, Florida; Boulder, Colorado and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
