Tulsa Health Department COVID-19 vaccine sites closed Thursday due to weather

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Health Department closed their COVID-19 vaccine sites Wednesday and Thursday due to weather.

Those with appointments and those expected to return for their second dose today have been notified through email, according to the Tulsa Health Department.

Those who are registered will receive a follow-up email with instructions regarding when their new appointment date and time will be.

If you had an appointment Wednesday, you don’t need to reschedule through the Oklahoma Vaccine Portal.

All Tulsa Health Department locations are closed today due to inclement weather.

The Tulsa Health Department COVID-19 vaccine clinic is canceled today due to inclement weather. After evaluating conditions on site, it was determined to be the best decision for the safety of staff and clients. All individuals with appointments for today, and those who had an appointment for their first vaccine on January 20th and due back today for their second dose, will be notified via email with instructions regarding when their appointment will be rescheduled. Cancellation of vaccine operations does not raise concern of vaccine waste. The Tulsa Health Department and our health care partners safely store the vaccine at the appropriate temperature until it is ready to be administered. We will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates to the community. THD wants to continue to vaccinate Oklahomans, but residents’ safety, especially traveling to appointments, will be top of mind when planning for the week ahead.
