TULSA, Okla. — A Tulsa County boy got a sweet surprise on his birthday courtesy of the sheriff’s office.
Angel Sanchez turned five Monday but he had to cancel his birthday party. He loves law enforcement and wants to be a deputy when he grows up
His mom reached out to TCSO last week to see if they could send a deputy or two by to wish Angel a happy birthday.
The sheriff’s office decided to go a step further and make his birthday special. They got a whole parade of deputies to drive by, with sirens blaring, to wave and wish Angel a happy birthday.
His mom says she didn’t expect such a big response and feels happy and blessed by the gesture. Angel also said he loved it.
Sheriff Vic Regalado says he hopes the moment could serve as a way for the family to forget about the bad things going on in the world and just enjoy Angel’s birthday.
