Tulsa bar temporarily closing because of coronavirus concerns

TULSA, Okla. — The Whittier Bar decided to close for the second time in 2020 due to coronavirus concerns.

More local bars are following suit.

The co-Owner says they voluntarily closed the bar near S Lewis and E Admiral on Tuesday. He originally closed down around St Patrick’s Day when the city ordered him too and remained closed until June 1st.

By June 30, he closed again. He says it does not seem safe or responsible to be open right now with the increase in cases. The Starlite Bar on 11th and Wheeling also chose to voluntarily close.
