TULSA, Okla. — A local bar owner is finding a way to safely celebrate Oktoberfest in the Tulsa area.
The owner of Welltown Brewery, Jeremy Diamond, is gearing up to host the completely open-air 2020 Oktoberfest on Oct. 23 and 24.
The two-day event will be held on Cheyenne and Archer, next to Welltown Brewery. The area will be blocked off for the event.
Diamond says he’s striving for some normalcy with everything 2020 has brought. He says he got with the Tulsa Health Department--and they approved his plan of action to host an Oktoberfest event.
He says there will be four beer vendors present, food from Zigi’s, live music and games. He says in order to make it safe, the event will be completely open air---with hand sanitizer stations, social distancing and temperature checks.
