TPD Chief announces victims, gunman in Saint Francis Mass Shooting

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa’s leaders and officials have offered new details following Wednesday’s mass shooting at Saint Francis Medical Center.

The victims have been identified as Dr. Preston Phillips, Dr. Stephanie Husen, Amanda Glenn, and William Love.

The gunman has been identified as Michael Louis.

According to Tulsa Police Chief Wendell Franklin, Louis had back surgery on May 19. Louis was released from the hospital on May 24 and complained of pain for several weeks.

Franklin said that Louis left a note detailing his plan to kill Dr. Phillips and “anyone who stood in his way.”

William Love was a patient in the practice. Amanda Glenn was a receptionist. They were both killed when they tried to stop Louis from carrying out the shooting.

A number of people were also injured, but have since been treated and released.

Police believe that Louis killed himself as officers approached his location in the office. Chief Franklin said officers heard a single gunshot, which they believe was Louis pulling the trigger.

Officers believe Louis killed himself 39 seconds after entering the building.

As officers continued to search the office, they found Dr. Phillips dead in an exam room.

This is a developing story.
