BRAGGS, Okla. — Town of Braggs has issued a precautionary boil advisory due to low water pressure and potential for contamination.
The drinking water supplied by Bragg Public Works Authority may be unsafe for human consumption, according to Braggs Town Clerk Rebecca J. Smith.
“As a precaution, it is advised that the consumers of the Braggs water system bring the water to full rolling boil for one minute before consumption, food preparation, dish washing, tooth brushing, wound care and bathing infants who may ingest bath water,” Smith said.
This advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
“The Braggs Public Works Authority cannot stress enough the need for water conservation. The pumps at the well sites cannot keep up with demand,” Smith stated.
