Three taken to Tulsa hospital following ambulance rollover crash

TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma Highway Patrol say slick, wet roads caused an ambulance to hydroplane and rollover Monday afternoon.

Troopers say the accident happened around 5 p.m. when John Anders, 32, was driving the ambulance along Highway 412 near 49th West Avenue when it began to hydroplane. The ambulance then reportedly went off the right of the road and rolled an unknown amount of times.

The driver and two other passengers, Robbie Monroe, 68, and Landon Carpenter, 28, were reportedly taken to a Tulsa hospital where they were stabilized in unknown condition.

Troopers say airbags did not deploy inside the vehicle and that the two passengers were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Troopers did not say if the passengers were patients or ambulance employees.
