State leaders hold ribbon-cutting for Oklahoma Pandemic Center

STILLWATER, Okla. — Gov. Kevin Stitt, the Oklahoma State Department of Health and state Cabinet leaders held a ribbon-cutting Thursday for the new Oklahoma Pandemic Center for Innovation and Excellence (OPCIE) and the newly relocated Public Health Lab in Stillwater.

Prairie One Solutions, a not-for-profit subsidiary of the OSU Research Foundation, will add expertise and capacity to the Public Health Lab.

Prairie One will allow the Public Health Lab to have a dedicated person for operations, facilities management and information technology services, in addition to a nationally-renowned consultant to help navigate the move of the PHL and the formation of OPCIE.

Both the OPCIE and the PHL will remain under the oversight of the state Health Department.
