Skiatook boy joins national challenge, plans to mow 50 lawns for families in need

SKIATOOK, Okla. — A 12-year-old boy from Skiatook is helping out people in his community.

Skyler Ash is taking part in the “50 Yard Challenge.” It’s a nationwide program that challenges young girls and boys to mow 50 yards for free.

They help the elderly, disabled, single parents, veterans, and anyone in the community.

Skyler accepted the challenge earlier this summer and has been hard at work making a difference in Skiatook.

The family just moved to the area recently, so Skyler says it’s a great way to meet his neighbors while giving back.
