Several flags damaged in midtown Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — Several people in a midtown Tulsa neighborhood say their American flags were damaged over the weekend.

The alleged vandalism seems sporadic and happened on more than one street, according to a post on the Tusla Midtown Neighbors Facebook page.

One of the administrators for the page told FOX23 more than 20 homeowners living in the area from 21st Street to 31st Street between Harvard and Yale reported their flags were torn, cut or spray painted.

Several people whose flags were damaged say they believe teenagers are to blame.

Tulsa police are asking for anyone who might have surveillance video that might be helpful to contact Crime Stoppers at (918) 596-COPS.

Police say the people responsible for the damage could face misdemeanor charges of malicious mischief.
