  • The Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce has canceled the 2020 Christmas Parade. The annual parade has been a Sapulpa tradition for about 90 years.
  • Entries to walk in the two mile Christmas parade was low this year due to coronavirus. The Chamber was told neither Sapulpa PD or Creek Co. Sheriffs Office had enough manpower to staff the event. They are shorthanded because of Covid-19 and quarantines.
  • The community did put in for a large Christmas tree outside the courthouse. Even the custom ‘Sapulpa Route 66’ topper was paid for by Sapulpa citizens, because the city couldn’t afford it.
  • The ‘Lights on! Tree lighting event starts at 6pm Tuesday. Downtown shops will have live window displays and free carriage rides for families.
