Rooster Days canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Broken Arrow’s Rooster Days 2020 is canceled, the city’s chamber of commerce announced Tuesday.

The festival’s 89th year planned to go on Sept. 3-6 but will now be waiting until next year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rooster Days usually falls during Mother’s Day weekend but had been pushed when the pandemic began.

The Miss Rooster Days Pageant and Rooster Days Cornhole Tournament are still expected to go on but the dates haven’t been announced.

Organizers expect the festival to return on May 6-9, 2020.
