Police arrested suspected shooter in deadly south Tulsa double shooting

TULSA, Okla. — Police identified the man killed in a south Tulsa double shooting that happened late on the night of March 30.

Tulsa police say a man shot and killed Marcus Burkes and injured another person at a home near 71st Street and Memorial around 8 p.m.

Police say the second person who was shot ran to the house next door where people were also shot at by the same shooter, but no other injuries were reported.

They say one victim was shot and killed and another was shot and then ran to a different home to get help. The second victim, who is in unknown condition, was reportedly shot in the lower torso.

Officers arrested Esuan Scott on Thursday who is facing a charge in connection with first-degree murder.
