TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police say a Nicole Underwood and 2-year-old Troyanna Lane died Monday in a crash that stemmed from a beer theft.
Emergency crews responded to the scene of the crash near I-44 and Harvard around 5 p.m.
Police say a man stole beer from a nearby QuikTrip then drove off in his car with the woman and child.

Officers say the man was running red lights when he crashed into a pickup truck that was exiting I-44.
The woman and child died in the crash and paramedics took the driver to the hospital where he’s in critical condition. The driver of the pickup truck was also taken to the hospital.
Police say the 2-year-old girl was not in a car seat.
