Troopers identify woman killed in east Tulsa crash; 14-year-old driver arrested

TULSA, Okla. — A chase starting in Coweta ended in a crash in east Tulsa on Thursday afternoon, killing two people and injuring a third.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Tulsa Police Department were following the driver through the streets of east Tulsa before that driver crashed into an SUV on 21st Street between Garnett and Highway 169.

Troopers say two people inside the SUV that the driver they were chasing hit were killed, and a third was injured.

Troopers say they were called about a stolen pickup truck at a car wash in Coweta and chased that truck down several streets before the driver crashed into the SUV on 21st Street.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the woman killed in the crash as 31-year-old Lanise Dade. The other person killed is a young girl who troopers aren’t identifying. The third victim is a young boy who was taken to the hospital Thursday for his injuries.

Troopers arrested the 14-year-old driver of the pickup truck who is facing charges for two counts of first-degree murder, possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding a police officer.
