TULSA, Okla. — Another holiday tradition will be cut off in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
Owasso’s Holly Trolley is canceled for the holiday shopping season due to concerns over the pandemic, the city announced Tuesday.
The city says they canceled the service “to protect the health and wellbeing of riders and employees from the potential spread of the virus where social distancing is limited.”
The Old Urban Trolley and the City of Owasso have been putting on the Holly Trolley for 13 years and plan to continue their partnership.
The shuttle plans to return to service in late spring or early summer 2021 for a “special seasonal shopping and dining” event later to be announced.
