OSDH issues weekly report, Oklahoma has more than 19,000 active COVID-19 cases

The Oklahoma State Department of Health released a situation update Thursday, Aug. 11.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported 9,364 new COVID-19 cases between July 31 and Aug. 6.

The seven-day rolling average stands at 1,338 cases.

The new addition brings the total number of the state’s positive cases to 1,140,485.

Active cases stand at 19,703.

Region 7, which includes just Tulsa County, reported 100 new hospitalizations.

Region 2, which includes northern counties of Green Country, reported 21 new hospitalizations.

Region 3, which includes counties south of Tulsa, reported 48 new hospitalizations.

The provisional death count is 16,372.
