The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating a possible homicide at Backwoods Music Festival.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office requested that OSBI investigate a death at the festival near Stroud.
OSBI reported that Patrick Murphy, 34, became erratic while attending the music festival.
Security personnel subdued Murphy, and shortly after he was handcuffed, he stopped breathing.
Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene and transported Murphy to a hospital in Stroud.
Doctors there pronounced him dead.
His body was transported to the medical examiner’s office for autopsy, and OSBI agents have conducted numerous interviews.
The investigation is ongoing.
