TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Christmas Parade will still go on in 2020, but it could look a lot different.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, organizers plan to decide just how different it will look in November.

The theme of this year’s parade, scheduled for Dec. 12, is “Christmas Joy Ride.”

The theme of this year’s parade is “Christmas Joy Ride.”

Due to potential COVID-19 restrictions, there are two potential plans: A traditional parade with precautions or a drive-thru parade.

Organizers say they are working with the City of Tulsa and Tulsa police to figure out which option will be safest.

They also plan to see how the Veterans Day Parade, which is planned as a traditional parade, goes in November.

If it’s a drive-thru parade it will run the same route as the parade has in the past, but the floats and acts will be stationary and parade-goers will drive by it.

This will be the 94th annual parade.
