Operation Clean Sweep: 33 people facing charges in Oklahoma child porn sting

TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma’s acting U.S. Attorney announced charges facing 33 people Wednesday in a multi-agency child pornography investigation.

Acting U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson held a news conference to announce the charges as a result of what he called “Operation Clean Sweep.”

The four-month-long undercover operation set out to protect children from predators living within the Northern District of Oklahoma.

Johnson says 33 alleged child predators in 10 counties are facing charges, and 12 of those alleged predators have already pleaded guilty in federal court.

The operation is said to have identified and rescued 12 child victims.
